Time to talk Spring

Today it is cold and rainy in Dallas. I think this is the perfect time to start talking about Spring fashions! Who doesn't want to think of warmer days ahead and shake off the old in favor of the new?

Below are some of my favorite new styles and a note or two about what makes them great choices to instantly update any wardrobe.

Aerin

Cut out sandals is one of my favorite new trends this season. White is also popping up everywhere. This icy color is perfect for anyone that wants to be on trend but can't bring themselves to wear white shoes.

Embellished flats are popular every spring but I love how much diversity  we have this year. There are chains, crystals, glitter, and color to match any one's personal style.

There are a number of hot trends in this one picture. Wedges are cool right now, so is white, and everyone should try to find a mule this season. I have the heels in store too but for now you will have to visit if you want to see those.

Summer booties! They have been on the scene for a few years now and they aren't going anywhere. I love this option in soft colors on a comfortable wedge.

Spring style with Stuart Weitzman

Stuart Weitzman is everyone's favorite master shoe maker. This season we have a great assortment of wonderful styles for every spring event and mood.

This gorgeous wedge is just waiting for a chance to make an appearance at your next garden party or outdoor wedding. But let's be serious, those don't happen everyday, pop these on to wear with shorts, jeans, and summer dresses to give your look an extra feminine pop.

A pop of red with a cork sole is what every nautical outfit needs. Wear these with white skinny jeans and instantly become yacht ready. Or use them to complete your outfit on the way out the door to carpool.

Cage sandals are a must have for the season and anything in Capri Blue will instantly perk you up. Wear beachy blues as a neutral and keep thoughts of vacation nearby.

Pointy toes on flats and kitten heels is a trend right now and one that I love. It is very Audrey Hepburn to wear these with skinny pants, cigarette pants, and even your fit & flare dresses. 

(Here is a tip for making it work - style this like a flat shoe and it will look very current and mod.)

Resort 2014

It is January again. This is a time to leave the old things behind us, to look ahead to a new year, new experiences, and new fashions. Resort Collection shoes are delivering and it is time to look at what is new and hot.

Lola Cruz is one of my absolute favorite breakout brands. They popped up on the scene a year or two ago and made a mark with extraordinary sandals. These sandals are jewelry for your feet and we picked three fantastic colors to choose from, Tan, Pewter, and Black (not pictured). I will be showing you a lot more from this brand in the coming months.

Any complete wardrobe should include at least a pair or two of great espadrille wedges. Tory Burch nailed it this year with this quintessential spring/summer shoe.

Michael Kors is turning out a lot of great styles right now. Everyone loves a good cork wedge because they are perfect for taking your casual looks up a notch. The sandal on the heel is one of my favorite shoes of the new year. You can wear it just as easily with skinny jeans as you can with a cocktail dress.

New shoes for Fall 2013

It is that time again, that point in the year when it hasn't gotten cold yet but the fashions are changing. It is time for Fall 2013 and new shoes are arriving now in the store. The key to a well dressed season is to buy your favorite items a little early. If you start planning and adding to your wardrobe now you definitely won't regret it.  

All of these Pelle Moda styles are perfect for wearing today and will last through to Fall and Winter.

Pedro Garcia is one of the greats in shoe design today. Style, quality, and construction are in perfect harmony throughout the collection. If you have never tried them on you need to come discover what your are missing. If you are already a fan you know they won't be here very long.  

One fantastic wedge in two great colors. Come in and grab one, or both, and wear them from now into fall. 

This is a great shoe for days when you have to be at top speed and still look good.  

Another great shoe with two color choices. Whether you go neutral or neon  this sandal is perfect for clean and polished looks. Think retro and pair with skinny jeans and cigarette pants.

This shoe is edgy and cool and ready to wear with everything from boyfriend jeans to dresses and everything in between.

April weather hasn't been easy to predict so far but we all know the inevitable reality of Summer is right around the corner. Here are just a few favorites to get your wardrobe in season.
