Spring Trend Alert!

Spring is in full swing! The weather is amazing and the shoes are too. Here is a breakdown of some of my favorite trends for your feet.

Nudes are a summer staple and this year there is so much variety that anyone could find a good fit for their personal style. You can never go wrong following this trend.

Cage sandals are everywhere! This trend is a must for the season whether you are wearing them for your everyday flat or your evening heel. 

Color! Dallas has never been a stranger to flares of color and this year is a standout moment for the most vivid and vibrant among us. 

Wedges are the best way to take a comfortable look to the next level. Pop on your favorite wedges for effortless all day wear.

I am sure you also noticed another hot trend this season is single sole shoes. That means that there is a lot less platform and lower heels everywhere. Platforms aren't "out" but single sole shoes are definitely back "in".

New shoes for Fall 2013

It is that time again, that point in the year when it hasn't gotten cold yet but the fashions are changing. It is time for Fall 2013 and new shoes are arriving now in the store. The key to a well dressed season is to buy your favorite items a little early. If you start planning and adding to your wardrobe now you definitely won't regret it.

We have had Tootsies Collection shoes in the store for several seasons now and this is probably my favorite collection so far.

New Fall arrivals from Tootsies

I just unpacked several new styles from our house brand. Here are some of the Fall goodies that just arrived.
This is a very sleek and very comfortable bootie that anyone could easily work into their wardrobe. I love the addition of elastic detailing to give the silhouette an edgier appeal.

This is another classic style like the one above. This one is simpler and a bit more casual and it is great for giving a polished finish.

I love these wedges. They are a great shoe for women of all ages and you can easily dress them up or down. The wedge is a patent finish with a croc print that adds a lot of interest to the look.

This is the dark brown color option with a tortoise wedge. They are also available in black with a black wedge.

This is a great mid-heel pump for this fall. The throat (opening) of the shoe has elastic for a great fit and the soles are well padded to keep you moving fast all day.
The cream leather and black patent make a great combination...

It also come in black leather with a black patent cap toe...

And in two tone metallic.

Warm thoughts for a snow day

Dallas is freezing right now. I am looking out of my window at snow everywhere but the fashion year is knee deep in Spring. I picked a few shoes from the spring collection of our housebrand that really speak to trends for the season.

Espadrilles
You will see these everywhere. Spring 2011 is laden with soft feminine materials. All of those flowy layers need something to keep them grounded so shoes are chunky - and fantastic.
This shoe also comes in black, navy and a soft neutral gray.

Cork!
I love cork and I know Dallas does too. It makes a great compliment to this Spring's bold colors. This wedge has a lot of personality when you put it on. It is also a great height for wearing around town all day.

The wedge also comes in red patent and black patent.

Metallic
I know I don't have to tell any of you how easy it is to wear a metallic neutral. Pick this one up and wear it all season long. The fact that the base is jute not rope keeps the shoe looking more refined so it is great for wearing with day dresses.
This chic shoe also comes in black.

Sandals
You will always see sandals for Spring and Summer. There is nothing better to put on once the temperatures go back up. So I will leave you looking at this great looking sandal on a low profile wedge thinking about warmer days.
