New in November

This month has already been full of new things for us here in the store. New jewelry - new handbags - and new shoes! Here is an assortment of just some of the new things I have to offer.

This gorgeous collection is very well represented here already and on 11-17 we will be hosting a trunk show so you can be sure to find your new favorite piece of jewelry or the perfect holiday gift.

Lulus Guiness is a fun and whimsical designer that reminds us that what we wear doesn't need to be so serious. Her handbag collection is full of signature pieces including The Lip handbag (also available in gold) and The Book clutch.

New shoes hit the store too and here are just a few. Whether you need a classic pump from Pour La Victoire or a wild sandal from Giuseppe Zanotti Design or even a new Tory Burch flat we have you covered.

These two boots are brand new and they are already a hit. Play up your look with a little rugged appeal or add a polished finish to your outfit with one of these.

Pedro Garcia for Fall 2012

Pedro Garcia is the phenomenal shoe brand from Spain whose name has become synonymous with quality and comfort. This collection is a great assortment of styles, every pair is cool and edgy but still very wearable.

First of all I love the color of this bootie. The dark charcoal is a refreshing alternative to black and it has enough depth of tone to pair beautifully with browns. The front has a nice long slit down the center that keeps the legs looking very long.

This is the perfect update for anyone that enjoys being able to transition to their fall wardrobe before December. Let's face it, we stay warm late into the season so a sandal style shoe for fall is the obvious first choice.

This is another great choice for wearing in our climate. A few well placed cut outs can go a long way in enhancing the look and feel of a bootie.
This sweet little Mary Jane is an easy choice when you are looking for something comfortable to wear all day. It also comes in Charcoal so you can easily pair this shoe with any color in your wardrobe.

Spring Trend Tip 4: Color Blocking

By now I am sure that everyone is clear on the fact that COLOR is what this Spring/Summer fashion season is all about. Color Blocking is obviously reliant on your clothing as well but I have assembled some of my favorite shoes to add some punch to your Spring look.

Giuseppe Zanotti
Giuseppe never steers us wrong. This combination of cobalt and turquoise layered over a bold sandal is clearly a statement shoe, in the very best way.

Bettye Muller
This designer is feminine and fun and it shows in her work. A cut out wedge instantly updates this shoe but doesn't sacrifice any of the comfort you expect from your favorite espadrilles. It comes in blue too.

Chloe
The name Chloe is synonymous with fashion. This year instead of painting neon on everything they created a color scheme that plays perfectly with all of the bright statement colors. This periwinkle cross-body bag looks incredible with just about any color, from other blues to hot pinks to the splashy greens of the season.

Elie Tahari
I love this little orange sandal. Even in a year that isn't all about color blocking it would still be a fantastic piece to have. The orange is a surprisingly smooth compliment to every ones summer look.

Gastone Lucioli
A summer red seated on top of a cork wedge is the classic staple shoe for summer. Use it instead of black for a lighter look in warm weather months.

Now for the best part of this collection of summer looks: IT IS ALL ON SALE! Stop by soon and see these and so many more looks to add a little color in your life.

B by Brian Atwood

Brian Atwood has long been a favorite designer of mine. His shoes are fantastic interpretations of classic styles that update any wardrobe and help every woman show off her personality. I just added his new collection called B by Brian Atwood to my assortment.

This is a great example of the Atwood style. A classic peep-toe gets the ultra-high treatment and a snake finish but it also comes with plenty of platform and cushion so you can still dance all night.

Several designers have experimented with fringe but this has got to be one of my favorites. The fringe is actually several layers of ultra-light chain so it has plenty of motion when you walk but doesn't dis-form like leather fringe.
This pump is a signature style by Brian Atwood. The simple but elegant pump has been updated this time with an iridescent orange lizard skin. My favorite part is the under sole which he has finished with orange python.

From the time he started creating his shoe collections Brian has been tweaking and recreating the classic mule sandal. I love this updated snake version with a brass buckle. It is perfectly neutral, perfectly wearable, and perfectly Atwood.

Spring 2012 Trend Tip #3: Funky-Chunky-Chic

This is the third of my four favorite spring trends for this year. The clothes that are hitting big this season are soft, flowy, and layered so shoes with a chunky finish help to keep everything in balance. Pop on a pair of these funky shoes and instantly update your wardrobe.

Tory Burch
This flat is a perfect black sandal for this season. On top of having thicker straps it also incorporates another Spring trend, ankle straps.

Chloe
This brand new shoe just arrived and I love it. This chunky heel with thick straps is easy to wear with your denim or to dress up a bit. All neutral colors make it a perfect pairing with Spring's bright color palette.

Pedro Garcia
This wedge has been a runaway hit and it is easy to see why. Wearing chunky shoes does not mean you have to lose any of the feminine appeal and this shoes is proof. Pop this on with your colored jeans or summer dresses and get ready to be seen.

Rachel Zoe
This snakeskin stunner is a brand new addition. Every element has been considered on this shoe and the result is the perfect melding of fashion and architecture.

Belle by Sigerson Morrison
This little flat is very sweet. The combination of a broad t-strap and an ankle strap is actually very flattering to most feet. I love the color pictured above but it also comes in a neutral tan color that is fantastic.

So there you have it, #3 of my four favorite trends in Shoes for Spring 2012. Drop by and try a few on and we will be sure you have the right update for your feet.

**Special Note** the backdrop for all of the photos in this blog posting is an unbelievably beautiful summer scarf that you can find here in the store. It is by Faliero Sarti.

Spring 2012 Trend Tip: Ankle Straps

The last time I wrote to you it was to talk about the first of four tips for Spring 2012 Shoes, Natural Elements. The second major trend on the scene is Ankle Straps.
First and foremost I want to say that ankle straps do not cut off the leg, at least not all ankle straps do. In the words of Coco Chanel "Fashion is architecture; it is a matter of proportions". Be sure that you wear straps that are slender or that hit either above or below the narrowest part of your ankle and you will look great in one of this seasons hottest trends.

Rachel Zoe
This trend is hitting all different shoes at all different heel heights. This fresh update to a casual flat it a really easy way to incorporate ankle straps into your shoe wardrobe. It comes in nude and in blue so wearing this one with your summer clothes will be a cinch.

Belle by Sigerson Morrison
This sandal is a great summer staple. Wear this one with pants, skirts, and dresses. It also comes in a melange of metallic tones for a brighter option.

Giuseppe Zanotti
This is a great example of why every woman should love ankle straps. There are few things as feminine and delicate as a well placed and well thought out strap.

Pelle Moda
A fun chunky heel takes a modern boho turn when you add the ankle strap. A shoe this chunky actually needs a little extra around the top to keep you looking your best.

So there you have it #2 of my favorite Spring Trends, Ankle Straps. I have a lot more to choose from here in the store as well. Just drop by and I will be sure we find you the right shoe for a Spring update.

Spring 2012 Trend Tip: Natural Elements

Spring/Summer 2012 is one of my favorite seasons in years. The colors are bright, the layers are soft, and almost anything goes. Through the explosion of color, shape, and texture a few major trends definitely began to stand out. One of the coolest trends in footwear is Natural Elements being added to all different styles of shoe.

Elie Tahari
Espadrilles are a popular choice every year but they are especially hot right now. I also like the way the leather wraps the foot on this one, it creates a subtle and casual bohemian appeal.

DVF (Diane Von Furstenberg)
An espadrille that is a little bit lower in terms of the heel but still high in style is a sure bet for running around town all summer. The pop of orange patent is very on trend for the season as well, and remember you don't have to match the color.

Pour La Victoire
This shoe has only been here a few days and they are almost gone. The snake texture is gorgeous and paired with this taupe color it is very neutral. This shoe also comes in a really pretty sea-foam color.

Bettye Muller
This one has several natural elements and all together they are beautiful. Raffia and cork are combined with white patent leather to create a very modern and sophisticated take on the summer spectator shoe.

Stuart Weitzman
Feathers! This simple sandal takes a whimsical and edgy turn when you add feathers to the heel and toe. In addition to being stunning this shoe supports a good cause. The proceeds from the "Stuart Weitzman: Young Hollywood Cares" collection benefit pioneering research in Ovarian Cancer.

Stuart Weitzman
Another Stuart Weitzman, but this one is entirely different than the last. This peep-toe slingback is made from a multi-color snake print leather with a lot of variation. Every pair looks different than the rest - you will have to come by and see what your pair looks like.
