Resort Delivery from Loeffler Randall

Loeffler Randall is a fantastic fashion house that continues to produce some of the best and most wearable pieces available. The company was born from shoes and that inspiration still resonates in the collections. All of the footwear is fashion forward, well made, and distinctly feminine.

Everyone needs a good metallic flat for Spring/Summer and this shoe fits the bill. The heel is built up on a slight walking wedge to be sure your are supported and comfortable as well as chic and eye catching.

Perfect. A strappy leather sandal can easily transition from daywear to cocktail attire and the mesh adds a refined sexy touch.

Holiday Gift Items

For anyone that hasn't finished shopping yet I want to offer up a few fun ideas. These are all great gift items that are VERY reasonably priced.

Sam Edelman
This cute little bootie also comes in black. Edelman shoes are a great bargain, the style you get almost always exceeds the price tag.

Halston: Heritage Collection
This classic name is artistically directed by Sarah Jessica Parker and the prices are a lot lower than one would expect. Big look with a small price.

Vera Wang Lavender
This is the flat that everyone loves so much but in a new color. It is a very well finished patent leather in blush-taupe. This shoe is never out of style.

Carlos Falchi
These are great clutches for holiday parties. They are suede not the typical Falchi snakeskin but there is a metallic overlay so they are also bright and fun.

Rebecca Minkoff
Here are two different studded clutches in bold colors. They both have long silver chains for carrying.

Tory Burch
Large cosmetic case in bright orange. These sell out every year and make a great gift.

Tory Burch
Small cosmetic cases, I really like the prints and colors on these.

Tory Burch
Wedge rubber flip flops, everyone loves these and I bet most of you have one or two. This years new print and color combination are a great addition to your collection.

Tory Burch
These flip flops are jellies and you can't see it very well here but the pink and the blue have gold glitter stirred into the mix for just a little sparkle.

So there are some of my favorite gift items at great prices but if you have to pick some up for yourself too I won't tell.

FALL / WINTER 2010 TREND REPORT

Hey everyone! I am finally ready to do the fall trend report with you! I wanted to post it a little sooner but I have been so busy - luckily I have gotten to see a lot of you lately. Check it all out and let me know your thoughts - you know I am always nearby for questions and comments. Swing by and visit or hit me up @ DallasShoeGuy@gmail.com and DallasShoeGuy on TWITTER

THEMES
First of all this entire season has a basis in two strong influences. Classic Feminine Silhouettes are going head to head with the rough and tumble Military Chic.

A military influence doesn't mean you have to go grunge. Have fun with trends and find your favorite way to wear them. A high heel combat boot really changes the look of your skinny jeans with a sweater and it does a great job of making a dress and tights dramatic. A new handbag can always update a look fast too. The right color and details (like a little hardware) can go a long way.

"Classic feminine silhouettes" does not mean watered down fashion. This season is full of classic tailoring that still turns heads. Take this great chance to show off fantastic accessories. Bags right now have a more sturdy structure than the bags of the last several seasons. Think DoctorBag or Attache shapes for your large day bags - save your hobo bags for later.

COLORS
The one theme that has crossed over into all of the styles and into everyone's collections is the power of neutrals. Take all of your classic fall colors (Black, Brown, Camel, Navy) and be sure to add plenty of GREY - TAUPE - OLIVE. Start mixing and matching these colors and I guarantee you will love seeing how much you can stand out in neutrals.

Don't worry - I would not leave you with just neutrals to wear until spring. When you are dying to mix it up and add a punch of color - focus on sumptuous Jewel Tones. These rich colors keep your outfit looking lush.

SHAPES and HEEL HEIGHTS
Everything goes! There are so many options right now. You can find everything from ballet flats to flat riding boots and we also have high heeled over the knee boots. You can find round toes and square toes, there are even points starting to sneak back on the scene. So have fun this season with all of the trends and wear them your way.

New Moschino

This is my new Moschino that delivered this week!

This is a pretty little light brown suede riding boot. It is simple and soft, not to mention very feminine. Wear it over jeans and use it for making great casual looks with your day dresses.

OLIVE - if you are still looking for some of this season's hottest color this is a great choice. This little lace up bootie is a great option for updating your wardrobe.

New Vera Wang Lavender Label

This boot is good enough to warrant its own entry on the blog. Have fun with this motorcycle inspired boot and try something a little different.

Black is always easy, you can pop this on with all of your jeans and mix it in with more black, gray, or other neutrals colors - like camel.

T-Morro brown is a great color. It is one of the best color options when you are looking to wear something in place of black. It is the shade of brown used most often for pairing with black but it also rocks when paired with browns and grays.

Awesome new handbags

Diane Von Furstenberg
If you like a bag that has it all - then here it is. This flap top handbag is built from taupe leather with gold hardware and feathered trim. The body of the bag is a soft woven fabric with dark spangles throughout.
Diane Von Furstenberg
A beautiful rounded clutch. This is a stingray embossed leather with zebra striped print. The topper is a pewter clasp shaped like a small piece of driftwood. There is a shoulder length chain in silver that is optional.

Diane Von Furstenberg
I am sure the material on this bag looks familiar, it is the same as above. This larger version features small gold stud detailing. The bag has plenty of room, a longer strap is enclosed and it features side pockets on both ends. It is a very cool new addition for the year.

Rebecca Minkoff
This bag is fantastic! It is a nice small size for those who don't like to be too weighed down. The coloring and materials are excellent but the details really make this bag. A soft quilting keeps the bag looking rich and the studs are fashioned like the head of a screw. Novel - Useful -Beautiful - Love it

Rebecca Minkoff
This designer is great at blending concepts. This shape of bag is often lost in being overly feminine without much shape or appeal but not the one above. The grommets frame decorative zippers and are laced with a whip-stitch and the cinch top is even better with nice long ties. Inside is a longer strap so you can even wear this bag over the shoulder or cross body style.

Great new shoes and boots!

I have a lot of great new things to show off today. These are from several different designers and there are all kinds of different looks represented so flip through and find some new favorites!

Sergio Rossi
A great twist on a classic. This flat riding boot is exaggerated a little and taken all the way over the knee. Having a good looking piece that is easy to wear makes dressing casually easy.

Lorenzo Masiero
Here is a beautiful boot in stretch suede from a designer of wonderful women's footwear. A form fitting boot on a sleek heel is always in style.

Pour La Victoire
I am glad I have been able to show you all some fantastic pumps lately. There are so many choices in this wardrobe essential item that anyone can find an excellent pump right now. This attention grabbing pump also comes in black and features a concealed platform.

Sergio Rossi
This natural toned shoe with snake embossing is spot on trend without being overly trendy. The color is easy to blend into any wardrobe and the shape of the toe and heel are feminine in any era.

BOOTS BOOTS BOOTS

This Fall-Winter is a mix of influences. On one hand we have a return to sleek, polished and feminine appeal. On the flip side we see an appeal to a funkier roughed up military undertone, but whether you need a new classic dress boot or a fashion boot to really take an outfit to the next level you can find it this year

Stuart Weitzman
This boot will take you just about anywhere and it will do it for years to come. A classic style made from stretch suede for a formed fit.

Tory Burch
This is a great versatile style. The wedge provides comfort and support but also a cool twist on the classic shape of the boot. The leather is rich too.

Sergio Rossi
This one is a show stopper. This mid thigh boot can be folded down or worn high depending on what look you are going for. The leather is a great textured print in a soft gold finish that really comes off with a neutral appeal.

Cynthia Vincent
This casual boot has the addition of a leather strap that laces the back. A point of interest is a must in basic pieces. That way your look is always easy and simple but not boring.

Giuseppe Zanotti
Olive! Here is a hint at the military style that is such a bold influence this season. The color is really easy to work with - start playing with it and you will see how great it looks with all the basics and quite a lot of the bright and bold colors as well.

Sergio Rossi
This one is so easy. A great black boot with fantastic detailing that can be dressed up or down. The heel is sturdy and the platform is deep so the look packs drama not discomfort.

New clutches for day and evening

This year I am really glad to see that handbags have a lot of variety - they run a whole range of shapes, colors, materials and sizes. One notable trend this season is the movement back to bags with structure. An easy place to spot examples of the trend is in clutches, for day and evening and from lots of different designers.

Rebecca Minkoff
Love her work. This great medium size clutch has plenty of room for the essentials and a lot of style. The fringe is optional, so if it isn't for you just take it off. The bag can also be worn with the long cross body strap - this is an important trend for day wear clutches also.
-Rebecca Minkoff will be having a stock show in the store from September 8-11, mark your calendars and come see her fantastic pieces that you won't find anywhere else-

Kotur
These are just a few of the gorgeous authentic snake skin pieces that I have in from Kotur right now. There are also beautiful gilded metal clutches and fun jacquard prints. Have fun with color this season, winter is always so neutral that you can have fun with your favorite colors - just make sure they are sumptuous and rich for this fall!

Carlos Falchi
He is world renowned for fantastic snake skin bags and I love that his work is not resigned purely to be "classic". These larger day to cocktail clutches are slightly long and easy to use. Instead of trying too hard to match your prints and colors let an outstanding bag like this stand out as it was meant to. You should always have fun with accessories.

Zaida Michele
I am so happy to have Zaida Michele back. These exotic skin bags are great quality and the colors are very special for exotics. The price is beyond good too - far better than other exotics on the market. The vibrancy in the specialty colors and the variety of shapes and designs makes these bags really fresh. These are great for any occasion or for no occasion at all, just grab your great looking reliable clutch and go.

New GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI

This is one of my favorite new pieces in right now. Open toe boots are everywhere and they look great with a lot of different things but the addition of the stretch ankle cuff really adds some distinction and a very cool edge.

This bootie is beautiful and made for Dallas. It is 110 degrees and thinking about Fall clothes is tough but this is a perfect place to start your wardrobe. When you wear this with pants it will have all of the look of a boot but you won't have to worry about how hot a boot can be sometimes.

Pumps don't come much better than this. This is a fantastic shoe - classic, feminine, and very wearable but without sacrificing style. The gorgeous dark silver finish dresses well with just about any color - it is perfect for:
wearing with black
updating a navy look
going with the fall monochromatic look and wearing all gray
not to mention how easy it is to wear with vibrant colors like fall reds.

DVF by Diane Von Furstenburg

DVF has been doing an awesome job on their shoe and bag lines. They look great standing on the shelf, they are flattering when you put them on your feet and if what I am hearing from A LOT of people is true they all feel great too.

The punched leather on these is pretty unique and I really like the way the straps wrap over the platform. The black is a great fail-safe but I am a bit partial to the luggage color, especially for pairing with greys-blacks-and winter white.

Clogs are always a good time. With pants they carry the look of a boot but in our climate they aren't so hot. This one gives you plenty of extra height but on a wedge you should be plenty comfortable.

New Kate Spade for Fall

This one is very cool. The platform and heel are suede and make for a great contrast against the lace d'orsay. This is definitely a girly shoe that puts a great finish on evening looks (day too if you are feeling adventurous)

You all know by now that I think shoe boots are great - this is another example of that. It is good on a bare leg but once we cool down it is going to be fun to wear with tights too. I also have this in eggplant so you can pop some color on your look this Fall.

WEDGES FOR SPRING TO FALL

Here are two great wedges to get you through the rest of the season and beyond.
Fall is still about chunky and about cut out shoes with tights or leggings. I am a huge fan of this look because it lets you wear a variety of lengths year round.

Tory Burch

This is the new Nelson wedge. Tory has mastered this wedge - it looks great and everyone loves how it feels. I also have it in tan.

DVF
This is the opal wedge. It is great - plain and simple. It is also going to be fun to put a tight under when the time comes. The layered carved out wedge helps it stand out too.
Also available in brown.
