WEDGES FOR SPRING TO FALL

Here are two great wedges to get you through the rest of the season and beyond.
Fall is still about chunky and about cut out shoes with tights or leggings. I am a huge fan of this look because it lets you wear a variety of lengths year round.

Tory Burch

This is the new Nelson wedge. Tory has mastered this wedge - it looks great and everyone loves how it feels. I also have it in tan.

DVF
This is the opal wedge. It is great - plain and simple. It is also going to be fun to put a tight under when the time comes. The layered carved out wedge helps it stand out too.
Also available in brown.

J.J. Winters Cross Body Bags

Cross body bags are here and the look is gaining momentum. This trend has landed and as we approach a new season it is really going somewhere (ie. on your body!)

Look at this one up close. The leather has a great croc stamp all over and the shades really enhance the look. The bag is also a perfect size for the essentials - an IPhone or Blackberry fits easily and there is still room for your ID and cards as well as a lipgloss and mascara.
So what is the difficult decision to make here?

Zaida Michele Clutches!

We are hosting a special stock show for Zaida Michele exotic skin clutches! Below are photos of select bags - you can see the whole collection in the store. The colors are exquisite and all of the clutches are under $600 - that is unheard of for a real croc bag!
Come check them out in house from Thursday 4/22 through Saturday 4/24

You can see the rest of the pieces online at www.ZaidaMichele.com - they do larger bags too. I would be happy to help you special order anything you would like.

Giuseppe Zanotti Shoes

This shoe is awesome. A rocker inspired black leather studded sandal with an oversized rose ornament is cool but not overworked, indelicate or hard to wear.

Pictures do this shoe no justice. The gold leather straps are soft and nude while the larger stones are a darker gold that keeps the shoe looking rich then the whole front of the shoe is piped in multitone crystal to be sure it goes with anything.

New Heels

Luciano Padovan

A very cool peep toe slingback in black patent with laminate cork platform and heel. This shoe is very cool and also comes in a fantastic gold.

Elizabeth and James
A really good looking alternative to the summer boot or cage sandal. The look will take you anywhere and a lower heel than most shoes out right now will make sure you can get there.

Pelle Moda

For those of you that are getting hooked on these shoes you know that there is a lot of bang for your buck here. These shoes look great and feel just as good. Remember the must haves for this season include cool neutrals and textures like the wood and snake above.

The same shoe in black. If you need to do a solid black this is perfect. The snake embossed leather keeps a black shoe from getting severe in the spring/summer.

Stuart Weitzman

Stuart Weitzman
This is a really great collection of shoes from Stuart. In classic Stuart Weitzman style every shoe is very flattering to the foot and comfortable too. Make sure you read the descriptions because several come in different colors or have coordinate handbags.

This shoe is awesome. It is one of the best looking high heel sandals I have in the store right now. It also come in a nude patent leather.

This shoe lands somewhere between the summer boot and the cage sandal, both of which are very popular right now. The cognac has a cool matching bag.

Same shoe in black. The cognac above is a great neutral and this is a great summer black shoe.

All three of these flats are awesome. The black and blue come off surprisingly edgy making your basics really fresh. The Ale Metallic color above is studded with two different metals and you won't ever have to worry about what you are wearing that one with. There is also a fantastic hobo shape bag in the Ale Metallic Nappa that the shoe is made with.

Easy. Black patent low wedge with a well detailed toe. This is about as easy as it gets. It looks good on everyone, you can wear it with a lot and the wedge is very comfortable.

Classic forties style pump. This is a shoe that Weitzman has been doing for a while but this is the first time to do it in patent. It is perfect for times when you have to wear something classic and be able to get around fast.

Alexander McQueen

I am sure everyone has heard about recent events regarding McQueen. He was absolutely a gifted artist and will be missed. Here are some shoes from his current collection - all of them are stand out items that absolutely get some attention.
(I would love to show you bags but they don't stick around long enough to get on the blog - I will keep you posted)

This is a signature item from the mind of McQueen. The pump is striking in its own right but the heart shaped peep toe makes it distinctive and adds a little humor.

This very cool sandal is trimmed with zipper detailing and a skull shaped logo pull tag. The leather is also lightly distressed which adds another layer of texture.

This is a dramatic summer boot. I know you have seen summer boots everywhere and this is one of the inspirations for the rest. A peep toe and side cut outs keep it cool - in look and feel. The top can also be folded down if you don't want it to come up so high on the leg.

New Bags!

Chloe
This is a really cool large size bag. The color is really pretty when mixed with the colors that are out right now.

Furla
This is such an easy black bag. It is a nice large size but not overwhelming. The top cinches allowing you to choose how much strap you need or how closed up you want your bag to be.

Furla
Yes this bag is supposed to look a little rumpled-and that is so much of why it is great! The sides buckle over giving this bag a really unique shape. The color is really great too - it is a nice spring orange.

Chloe
A medium size bag in natural luggage color. The foldover top is something we haven't seen a lot of lately and makes this very classic bag very fresh. Several people have been asking about whether luggage is a good spring color - ABSOLUTELY! This is year round and a great bag you can carry for a long time.

Furla
Love this bag. It is the familiar Furla hobo shape in a snake embossed leather. The strap ties and makes a very cool knotted handle.

The MUST HAVES

Ok it is time to talk shoes and accessory trends for Spring&Summer 2010. I have been giving you all a lot of previews as new merchandise rolls in but now Spring is on our doorstep and it is time to straighten this all out. The trends really seem to be all over the place but I am going to make this simple for everyone.

FIRST lets talk COLOR:
  • NUDES - we love this now, ranging from true nudes, subtle tans, or feminine blush colors. Nudes keep outfits soft - sleek - feminine - chic. And they pair very well with prints.
  • NEUTRALS - namely metallics, different from nudes and made for different outfits. Neutrals keep brightly colorful outfits from being overbearing and conversely take demure outfits to an edgier -younger - fresher place
  • BRIGHTS - it is time to mix in the color. We all spent the past several months in our winter clothes and I don't know about you but I am ready to see some color again soon. One bag in a fantastic color changes your wardrobe and a great pair of colorful sandals makes your white jeans incredible.
SECOND lets talk TEXTURE and SHAPE:
  • TEXTURE - you need it! Cork - Snake - Wood - Linen - Espadrille. Texture always adds interest to your outfit. Taking a neutral and adding different textures makes it even easier to wear (and that works on brights too)
  • SHAPE - A shoe that is a little chunky brings balance to feminine outfits. Skinny jeans look great with WEDGES and with FULL HEELS but so do skirts. Sandals even have slightly THICKER STRAPS than they did last year.
NOW FOR SOME FAVORITES
I have a ton of great options for all of you but these shoes show off some of what I have been telling you

Stuart Weitzman
A great sandal! This shoe has a heavier bottom and thicker straps but the mix of texture keeps it looking soft. The wooden bottom and brass studs keep it more neutral and feminine. Don't be afraid of ankle straps!!

DVF
Bright color! The best part about bold color is they mix so well with so many things. You get to wear a pop of color and have some fun but you don't have to cut back on how wearable your shoes are.

Vera Wang
This is a fantastic metallic neutral! A classic shape is bolstered by a great color and makes it interesting. This is one of the easiest wardrobe options available.

Chloe
AMAZING! This is a fantastic nude. The mix of various tones including blush, nude, and tan all build a wonderful base for your wardrobe options. The extra layers build in texture making this very versatile. Thicker straps and a wedge make them a little more substantial without looking heavy.

Wedges!

Sam Edelman
Fun wrapped wedge with a leopard printed calf hair. You can always count on Sam for something fun.

DVF
This wedge is a fantastic combination of colors-metallics-textures and structure. The straps are multicolor in leather, snake print and suede. The wedge has an eye catching cut away shape that really makes them special.

Via Spiga
Great little espadrille with black leather upper

Tory Burch
Flip flop wedge on a cork base. This is a great way to stay casual but feel put together. Black is something we all need but gold and orange are excellent for a fresh look.

French Sole / New York

FS/NY

These are great shoes for getting around. If you haven't tried French Sole/New York shoes yet you need to come try on a pair and see how comfortable they are for yourself.

Bernardo Sandals

Bernardo
Good old Bernardo, we all know that these are great everyday casual styles that you can always come back to. So here they are, this is all that is in so far I will keep you posted for more.

Rebecca Minkoff Resort Bags

Rebecca Minkoff
I love this bag! Chocolate croc print leather trims a beautiful white bag. Lots of space for a medium bag with front and back pockets. You also have the option of carrying it with two different lengths of strap (both pictured).

Rebecca Minkoff
This is a great looking bag with a front pocket and top zip opening. It is available in this chocolate croc and in white leather. Both have a cross-body strap and optional fringe.

Rebecca Minkoff
The same classic cross-body bag with front pocket and top-zip but this time in passion fruit leather. This could be your new all season pop of color.

Rebecca Minkoff
Small tote in a great bright blue. Lots of room in a handbag with a great shape and a color that grabs attention.

Wedges!

Cynthia Vincent
A personal favorite - this wedge is fantastic. The style is flattering on the foot and the wedge is light weight. This will be a great all day wearable shoe. The picture above is the cognac leather.

Cynthia Vincent
Here it is again in the black leather.

Bettye Muller
This wedge is really a lot of fun, in all three colors. This picture is the denim color. They make easy to wear options and they are very comfortable.

Bettye Muller
This is the black and neutral option.

Bettye Muller
Neautral on neutral, it doesn't get much easier to wear than that.
