Looking ahead....

Hey everyone - the Fall Review is below but check this bootie out too. The lower heel and more pointed toe are on the scene now and gaining in popularity. Pick this up now and wear it now, but it will put you ahead of the curve for next year.

FALL / WINTER 2010 TREND REPORT

Hey everyone! I am finally ready to do the fall trend report with you! I wanted to post it a little sooner but I have been so busy - luckily I have gotten to see a lot of you lately. Check it all out and let me know your thoughts - you know I am always nearby for questions and comments. Swing by and visit or hit me up @ DallasShoeGuy@gmail.com and DallasShoeGuy on TWITTER

THEMES
First of all this entire season has a basis in two strong influences. Classic Feminine Silhouettes are going head to head with the rough and tumble Military Chic.

A military influence doesn't mean you have to go grunge. Have fun with trends and find your favorite way to wear them. A high heel combat boot really changes the look of your skinny jeans with a sweater and it does a great job of making a dress and tights dramatic. A new handbag can always update a look fast too. The right color and details (like a little hardware) can go a long way.

"Classic feminine silhouettes" does not mean watered down fashion. This season is full of classic tailoring that still turns heads. Take this great chance to show off fantastic accessories. Bags right now have a more sturdy structure than the bags of the last several seasons. Think DoctorBag or Attache shapes for your large day bags - save your hobo bags for later.

COLORS
The one theme that has crossed over into all of the styles and into everyone's collections is the power of neutrals. Take all of your classic fall colors (Black, Brown, Camel, Navy) and be sure to add plenty of GREY - TAUPE - OLIVE. Start mixing and matching these colors and I guarantee you will love seeing how much you can stand out in neutrals.

Don't worry - I would not leave you with just neutrals to wear until spring. When you are dying to mix it up and add a punch of color - focus on sumptuous Jewel Tones. These rich colors keep your outfit looking lush.

SHAPES and HEEL HEIGHTS
Everything goes! There are so many options right now. You can find everything from ballet flats to flat riding boots and we also have high heeled over the knee boots. You can find round toes and square toes, there are even points starting to sneak back on the scene. So have fun this season with all of the trends and wear them your way.

New Moschino

This is my new Moschino that delivered this week!

This is a pretty little light brown suede riding boot. It is simple and soft, not to mention very feminine. Wear it over jeans and use it for making great casual looks with your day dresses.

OLIVE - if you are still looking for some of this season's hottest color this is a great choice. This little lace up bootie is a great option for updating your wardrobe.

New Vera Wang Lavender Label

This boot is good enough to warrant its own entry on the blog. Have fun with this motorcycle inspired boot and try something a little different.

Black is always easy, you can pop this on with all of your jeans and mix it in with more black, gray, or other neutrals colors - like camel.

T-Morro brown is a great color. It is one of the best color options when you are looking to wear something in place of black. It is the shade of brown used most often for pairing with black but it also rocks when paired with browns and grays.
