Time to talk Spring

Today it is cold and rainy in Dallas. I think this is the perfect time to start talking about Spring fashions! Who doesn't want to think of warmer days ahead and shake off the old in favor of the new?

Below are some of my favorite new styles and a note or two about what makes them great choices to instantly update any wardrobe.

Aerin
Cut out sandals is one of my favorite new trends this season. White is also popping up everywhere. This icy color is perfect for anyone that wants to be on trend but can't bring themselves to wear white shoes.

Pre-Fall Preview 2014

Pre-Fall merchandise is starting to roll in. Here is a peek at some of the best shoes to buy now and wear now. Then when fall rolls around you know you have a great start on your shoes for the season.

If you have ever owned a pair of these flats then you know they are the perfect go-to everyday shoe. The leather is so soft and sumptuous that you won't ever want to take them off.

Sam Edelman does it again. Here are two beautiful shoes that are easy to wear and both are under $200! Buying a pair of these is the easiest decision you will make all season.

L.K. Bennett is the preferred shoe of the Duchess of Cambridge (aka Princess Kate). With clean and elegant silhouettes, like the one above, it is easy to see why modern royalty would choose these shoes and why you should too.

Everyone loves Pedro! These brand new shoes have already been a hit. Fashion & Function are in perfect harmony with Pedro Garcia. If you don't have your first pair yet it is time to start the addiction.

!!!! Fall Trend Alert !!!! Pointy Toes

The weather is cooling down and the seasons are changing. With the season goes the fashion and that means it is time to talk about what we will all be wearing this Fall. I will be doing a series of Trend Alerts to make sure everyone is up to speed on the hottest and newest that 2013 has to offer. First up is......

POINTY TOES
Wear them with: dresses, skirts, skinny jeans and boyfriend jeans (pretty much everything)

Pelle Moda has delivered a bevy of beautiful pointed toes to choose from. Whether you are looking for a slingback, a pump, or a bootie I have it here from Pelle Moda.

Jean-Michel Cazabat has mastered the fine points of the silhouette. This high heel is as easy on the feet as it is on the eyes and would be a beautiful addition to your shoe closet.

This trend is not limited to just pumps. Boots, booties, and flats will all have pointy options to choose from. So no matter what your personal style is you can find one of these instant-updaters for your Fall wardrobe.

Bagadocious, Pedro, and Kotur

Today I am going to tell you about Bagadocious brand custom shoe-bags and wonderful new things to put in them.
As someone who sells and loves shoes and bags I want to emphasize how important it is to take care of them. Keeping the box can be great for storage but boxes are bulky and you can't travel with them. So then what should you do? Bagadocious was started by Leslie Fuller, a self proclaimed shoe and handbag fanatic who also wanted a way to store her favorites when she wasn't using them and still keep them organized. Now you can order her bags customized with your shoes right on the front.

Here is one of the bags with a new edgy pair of Pedro Garcia shoes on the front. You can have bags made with any of your own shoes. You can also order Bagadocious bags for all of your favorite handbags, even the smaller evening bags like the Kotur miniaudiere below.
These super soft bags are perfect for storage and travel, and they come in different sizes for all of your accessories. You can have gorgeous, ultra-lux, custom, bags for everything from sunglasses and jewelry to boots and hobo handbags, all you need is a picture. The bags are available for order exclusively online.
Click here to visit the Bagadocious website.

Below are beautiful new arrivals in the store. I have a bunch of new options for you to put in your brand new Bagadocious custom bags.

Knock Out Neutrals for Spring/Summer 2013

Everyone knows that Spring and Summer bring an abundance of color and prints. This year definitely will not be the exception to that rule. With bright and wonderful things in mind I decided to show you some of my stand-out neutrals. Everything here makes for an excellent compliment to your Spring wardrobe.

Pedro Garcia
Grey is not the most "classic" neutral to be found in the shoe world but it is perfect. If you haven't tried it out before I would encourage you to give it a try. You will probably be shocked at how often you put these on.

B by Brian Atwood
One easy way to be sure your neutral goes with as many different looks as possible is to add in a layer of texture. This snake shoe adds the extra element needed to help it blend in anywhere.

Kors by Michael Kors
This wedge is perfect. The cork bottom is great for that added touch of texture, the leather is an ideal color for wearing with almost anything, and the gold studs make sure you get noticed even when you wear neutrals.

Kors by Michael Kors
A great flat in the perfect color is a must have for any year. This ankle strap sandal updates and compliments a wardrobe easily to make sure you look and feel good.

Kors by Michael Kors
This is the perfect classic wedge. A nice espadrille can elevate a look to a high level of effortless summer-chic. Pop these on with anything from denim to day dresses and always know you got it right.

Kors by Michael Kors
I love all the shoes I have posted today but I have to say this one is a personal favorite. This shoe is proof that simple and boring are two very different things. This simple sandal is a fantastic modern statement and it shows that you don't have to brave towering heights if you have the right mid-heel.

Vera Wang
This is a departure from the mono-tone shoes we have been looking at so far but it is worth including with the rest. These three colors blend beautifully to create a style that you can wear easily with a variety of looks.  Never be afraid to mix your neutrals! You can see here that layering them all together can really make an outstanding finish.
Now all that is left to do is call-text-tweet-email-visit me so we can try out your favorites!

Love this Little Black Dress with Leather Details, by Theory, so much that I decided to show it off twice.

Pedro Garcia for Fall 2012

Pedro Garcia is the phenomenal shoe brand from Spain whose name has become synonymous with quality and comfort. This collection is a great assortment of styles, every pair is cool and edgy but still very wearable.

First of all I love the color of this bootie. The dark charcoal is a refreshing alternative to black and it has enough depth of tone to pair beautifully with browns. The front has a nice long slit down the center that keeps the legs looking very long.

This is the perfect update for anyone that enjoys being able to transition to their fall wardrobe before December. Let's face it, we stay warm late into the season so a sandal style shoe for fall is the obvious first choice.

This is another great choice for wearing in our climate. A few well placed cut outs can go a long way in enhancing the look and feel of a bootie.
This sweet little Mary Jane is an easy choice when you are looking for something comfortable to wear all day. It also comes in Charcoal so you can easily pair this shoe with any color in your wardrobe.

Spring 2012 Trend Tip #3: Funky-Chunky-Chic

This is the third of my four favorite spring trends for this year. The clothes that are hitting big this season are soft, flowy, and layered so shoes with a chunky finish help to keep everything in balance. Pop on a pair of these funky shoes and instantly update your wardrobe.

Tory Burch
This flat is a perfect black sandal for this season. On top of having thicker straps it also incorporates another Spring trend, ankle straps.

Chloe
This brand new shoe just arrived and I love it. This chunky heel with thick straps is easy to wear with your denim or to dress up a bit. All neutral colors make it a perfect pairing with Spring's bright color palette.

Pedro Garcia
This wedge has been a runaway hit and it is easy to see why. Wearing chunky shoes does not mean you have to lose any of the feminine appeal and this shoes is proof. Pop this on with your colored jeans or summer dresses and get ready to be seen.

Rachel Zoe
This snakeskin stunner is a brand new addition. Every element has been considered on this shoe and the result is the perfect melding of fashion and architecture.

Belle by Sigerson Morrison
This little flat is very sweet. The combination of a broad t-strap and an ankle strap is actually very flattering to most feet. I love the color pictured above but it also comes in a neutral tan color that is fantastic.

So there you have it, #3 of my four favorite trends in Shoes for Spring 2012. Drop by and try a few on and we will be sure you have the right update for your feet.

**Special Note** the backdrop for all of the photos in this blog posting is an unbelievably beautiful summer scarf that you can find here in the store. It is by Faliero Sarti.

PEDRO GARCIA for Spring/Summer 2012

Pedro Garcia is a brand steeped in heritage. Starting in 1925 with the very first Pedro Garcia the company began building a business around classic craftsmanship and quality. Now with the third Pedro running the show, with the help of his wife, the brand is stronger than ever. The elements of quality and fashion merge into a perfect style ethic that accounts for the look and the lifestyle of every woman.
One special element of the Pedro method of construction is the cork cushion in each shoe. Natural cork is extremely durable and as a cushion that is valuable because your shoes will stay comfortable for a very long time.

This chunky flatform* is a great shoe for running around town during the day. Funky&Chunky is a top trend right now. Pick this sandal up and rock the look.
*Flatform: A shoe that is built up on a high platform without a high pitch making it essentially flat.

Here is another great example of Pedro Garcia's mastery of the chunky sandal silhouette. Keep it easy and casual in this style.

This shoe has a slightly higher level of dress than the last two styles making it perfect for very casual wear but also for a look that requires a bit more polish.

We know that flats and low heels should be pretty comfortable but Pedro has done an amazing job of creating high heels and wedges that feel amazing too. This peep toe sandal is a very different shoe built for the avant-garde style but also to be very wearable.

I love this wedge. It is high and comfortable and has a great style. The materials and the shape are beautiful making it every bit as wearable and neutral as the other styles above.
