Tory Burch!

Tory Burch has put together a great Resort collection with excellent colors and shapes that make you want to go on vacation. But even if you don't have a trip planned they are perfect for wearing around the city and looking good.

This is a great go-to sandal that you can wear comfortably and casually but still feel dressed. Cork always adds a refined touch and helps the patent to look bright even though it is black.

What did I just say about cork? I love this shoe! The soft colors mix easily into your wardrobe, and snake with cork make for a beautiful texture mash up.

This is a phenomenal new basic flat. The pad has been changed to a memory foam that feels incredible. This is going to become your new favorite black flat as soon as you put one on.

This is the fantastic Tory wedge that everyone loves. All black with a black logo is very easy to wear and the wedge keeps you comfortable enough to go all day.

I love that this flat has a bit of a preppy appeal. Take this and mix it with a fem outfit or take it and mix it with some edgier pieces, either way I think you will like the results.

Classic Tory sandals. Everyone loves these and the new versions for this year are really great. This is an ultra soft white leather......

Leopard patent is always fun too.....
And you know I love a metallic leather sandal with studs!

Camilla Skovgaard

I have been a fan of this London based designer since she landed on the scene. These are two new pieces from her collection. I think they both really speak to the soft colors of Spring 2011 as well as the diversity of bold shapes appearing in everyone's collections.

Anyone that knows me can guess how I feel about this shoe. This little slide sandal carries more edge and personality than most shoe collections could handle - and does it well. The versatile color of the snake skin lets you mix it up all season.

This soft feminine sandal was given a little flair to be sure that it doesn't go unnoticed. You won't go unnoticed either when you wear it.

From this seasons new wider cut denims to your skinny jeans or from day dresses to cocktail attire these shoes are ready to wear.

Stuart Weitzman for Evening

Stuart Weitzman has always been a leader in gorgeous evening wear and this collection does not fail his legacy.

This really starts us off with a bang. An ultra deep platform offset by a barely-there ankle strap creates a look that is all about turning heads and the strips of crystal are a great bonus.

This is a beautiful crystal sandal. The shoe is made from a suede that is a very soft and neutral gold tone. This is the kind of shoe that can live in your closet forever without worrying about whether or not it is "in".

A nice high slingback with a peep toe is well complimented with a big bow. This shoe makes a great feminine statement. It is also available in black and gold.

This is a black sandal done right. The platform adds an edge as well as comfort to keep you out all night. The t-strap keeps legs looking long so no one needs to worry about an ankle strap "cutting them off".

This shoe is all about the sparkle. These small crystals are three different colors to maximize the amount of light they catch, without ever going overboard. The pewter tones make sure that it is very easy to wear.

I love a shoe that mixes materials. This shoe has a glitter heel but the front is silver specchio calf. That is a finish that is just a little less shiny than patent leather.

Resort Delivery from Loeffler Randall

Loeffler Randall is a fantastic fashion house that continues to produce some of the best and most wearable pieces available. The company was born from shoes and that inspiration still resonates in the collections. All of the footwear is fashion forward, well made, and distinctly feminine.

Everyone needs a good metallic flat for Spring/Summer and this shoe fits the bill. The heel is built up on a slight walking wedge to be sure your are supported and comfortable as well as chic and eye catching.

Perfect. A strappy leather sandal can easily transition from daywear to cocktail attire and the mesh adds a refined sexy touch.

Holiday Gift Items

For anyone that hasn't finished shopping yet I want to offer up a few fun ideas. These are all great gift items that are VERY reasonably priced.

Sam Edelman
This cute little bootie also comes in black. Edelman shoes are a great bargain, the style you get almost always exceeds the price tag.

Halston: Heritage Collection
This classic name is artistically directed by Sarah Jessica Parker and the prices are a lot lower than one would expect. Big look with a small price.

Vera Wang Lavender
This is the flat that everyone loves so much but in a new color. It is a very well finished patent leather in blush-taupe. This shoe is never out of style.

Carlos Falchi
These are great clutches for holiday parties. They are suede not the typical Falchi snakeskin but there is a metallic overlay so they are also bright and fun.

Rebecca Minkoff
Here are two different studded clutches in bold colors. They both have long silver chains for carrying.

Tory Burch
Large cosmetic case in bright orange. These sell out every year and make a great gift.

Tory Burch
Small cosmetic cases, I really like the prints and colors on these.

Tory Burch
Wedge rubber flip flops, everyone loves these and I bet most of you have one or two. This years new print and color combination are a great addition to your collection.

Tory Burch
These flip flops are jellies and you can't see it very well here but the pink and the blue have gold glitter stirred into the mix for just a little sparkle.

So there are some of my favorite gift items at great prices but if you have to pick some up for yourself too I won't tell.

Looking ahead....

Hey everyone - the Fall Review is below but check this bootie out too. The lower heel and more pointed toe are on the scene now and gaining in popularity. Pick this up now and wear it now, but it will put you ahead of the curve for next year.

Wear it with pants - tights- dresses - skinny jeans

FALL / WINTER 2010 TREND REPORT

Hey everyone! I am finally ready to do the fall trend report with you! I wanted to post it a little sooner but I have been so busy - luckily I have gotten to see a lot of you lately. Check it all out and let me know your thoughts - you know I am always nearby for questions and comments. Swing by and visit or hit me up @ DallasShoeGuy@gmail.com and DallasShoeGuy on TWITTER

THEMES
First of all this entire season has a basis in two strong influences. Classic Feminine Silhouettes are going head to head with the rough and tumble Military Chic.

A military influence doesn't mean you have to go grunge. Have fun with trends and find your favorite way to wear them. A high heel combat boot really changes the look of your skinny jeans with a sweater and it does a great job of making a dress and tights dramatic. A new handbag can always update a look fast too. The right color and details (like a little hardware) can go a long way.

"Classic feminine silhouettes" does not mean watered down fashion. This season is full of classic tailoring that still turns heads. Take this great chance to show off fantastic accessories. Bags right now have a more sturdy structure than the bags of the last several seasons. Think DoctorBag or Attache shapes for your large day bags - save your hobo bags for later.

COLORS
The one theme that has crossed over into all of the styles and into everyone's collections is the power of neutrals. Take all of your classic fall colors (Black, Brown, Camel, Navy) and be sure to add plenty of GREY - TAUPE - OLIVE. Start mixing and matching these colors and I guarantee you will love seeing how much you can stand out in neutrals.

Don't worry - I would not leave you with just neutrals to wear until spring. When you are dying to mix it up and add a punch of color - focus on sumptuous Jewel Tones. These rich colors keep your outfit looking lush.

SHAPES and HEEL HEIGHTS
Everything goes! There are so many options right now. You can find everything from ballet flats to flat riding boots and we also have high heeled over the knee boots. You can find round toes and square toes, there are even points starting to sneak back on the scene. So have fun this season with all of the trends and wear them your way.
